Resort Savings & Loans Plc is duly licensed to carry on mortgage banking business and has operated for over a decade, having commenced business on November 29, 1993, and grown steadily in achievements, acceptability and reputation.
Whilst these formative years have been used to lay a very solid foundation for business development with great emphasis on building public confidence and acceptability, the company thereby successfully pulled through the difficult years of mortgage banking and subsequently has been achieving modest income that continues to increase steadily.
In accordance with the revised Guidelines issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria, PMIs are authorized to receive Deposits and maintain accounts for their customers for the purpose of creating mortgage assets, facilities and services. By this function, Resort Savings and Loans is a financial intermediary that reviews the creditworthiness of a borrower, provides the funds for the loan and quickly sells mortgages into the secondary mortgage market. We are also into Property Development through our wholly owned subsidiary ‘Resort Developers Limited’. PMIs are also recognized as active participants in the utilization of Pension Fund which portends substantial business in the light of the reformed Pension Act, which became effective recently.
To date, the company has done active business in the following areas:
Property Acquisition Management
Acting as intermediary, the company links sellers and buyers to consummate transactions, offers financial advisory and management services on property use and fund, all for fee income.
Mortgage Finance
This is provision of loan on short and medium term for property acquisition and development.
Fund Management
This is liability management, through the company’s products including Resort Insurance-Linked Mortgage Fund (RILMFUND), Savings and Tenor Deposits.
NHF
The company assist individuals to acquire properties, own land and further develop such land to houses under mortgage arrangements. It is capable of owning land, developing and acquiring houses for resale to new owners for profit. In consonance with its quest to excite its customers further, it has set a target for itself to achieve a minimum of 100% success rate for customer applications under the NHTF scheme. Resort is willing to extend this service to qualifying customers in the diaspora who can provide evidence of tangible contribution for at least six months.
